Looking back at our residential building in East London.

This project was a six-unit residential building in Woodford, East London, designed to maximise space and sustainability on a constrained site. Responding to a mixed urban context, the project blends the density of an apartment block with the scale and proportions of a detached house.
The four-storey building uses a non-orthogonal geometry to optimise light, views, and massing, delivering south-facing, double-height living spaces and generous balconies to all flats. Constructed from digitally fabricated cross-laminated timber (CLT), this house achieves high levels of airtightness and insulation while significantly reducing embodied carbon through timber sequestration and precision CNC fabrication.
